First Step

One of the questions I get asked the most is how do I start?

There is SO much information out there and different diets it’s overwhelming for someone just starting out on their fitness journey.  The best advice I can give anyone just starting out is to follow the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid

The longest journey starts by taking the first step. It doesn’t matter if your first step is taking the stairs instead of an escalator. Walking to the park instead of driving or having a glass of water instead of a soft drink or alcoholic beverage. Just take that first step.

Nutrition wise again keep it simple. Portion control. When first starting you don’t need to weigh everything. Focus making good choices. Limiting carbs. Keep protein portion size to about the size of your palm. Eat lots of veggies and drink lots of water to help you feel full.

These small changes repeated consistently over a period of time will add up to a big change… a fitter you!
